The three Sundia models everyone asks about, compared on cups, weather, weight, axle options and price, with a clear recommendation for Europe.

The EVO G2 and EVO G3 are the same diabolo with different cups: soft and opaque on the G2, hard and transparent on the G3. In Europe, buy the G2. The Magforce is a different model: a bearing diabolo built around Sundia’s magnetic triple-bearing axle, and the one to buy when you want long spins.

All five share the same design idea: an aluminium hub with a sharp stability ring, so that when you correct a lean the string touches one point. That ring is why the EVO became the most played diabolo in the world.
EVO G2 or EVO G3
The cups are the only real difference.
- Soft cups (G2) keep their grip and flexibility below about 10 °C, take drops on concrete without cracking, and feel slightly slower on the string. This is the model we recommend across Europe, and the one Guillaume plays.
- Hard cups (G3) are glossier and faster in warm, humid air, which is why the G3 dominates in Taiwan and Japan. In a cold gym they lose grip and can crack on a hard drop.
- Axle compatibility. The 5-bearing axle only fits the G3’s rings and hard cups. A G2 takes the fixed and the standard triple-bearing axle.
Single cups of either kind cost 16 € (soft, hard), so a damaged EVO is repaired, not replaced.
EVO or Magforce
This is the fixed axle or bearing axle question. A fixed EVO teaches the feel of the string, is the home of the classic tricks and two-diabolo play, and costs 40 €. The Magforce spins for a long time on one pull, in one direction, and is what vertical play, long combos and grinds are built on.
Among bearings, the triple bearing (3-B) is the standard we recommend for training at every level. The 5-B was developed for one-minute competition routines in Taiwan, accelerates faster and is more fragile. The Magforce is a 3-B with small magnetic rings: smoother than a standard 3-B, far sturdier than a 5-B, and 2 mm larger, which steadies the rotation. It costs more, and it is the bearing we would buy for ourselves.
The Magforce Fixed (42 €, 235 g) is the same body with a fixed axle: the EVO G2’s twin with a slightly sharper edge.

What is the difference between the EVO G2 and the EVO G3?

Which EVO should I buy in Europe?
The EVO G2. European practice halls and parks are cold for half the year, and soft cups stay grippy and drop-proof where hard cups get brittle. The G3 is the right choice for hot climates and for anyone who wants the 5-bearing axle.
Is the Magforce better than the EVO?
For bearing play, yes. The Magforce is a triple bearing with magnetic rings that reduce friction, so it spins longer and more smoothly than a standard 3-B, and its slightly larger cups make it steadier in rotation. For fixed-axle play the EVO G2 and the Magforce Fixed are near equivalents; the EVO is the classic, the Magforce Fixed a touch lighter.
What is the Magforce NX?
The 2026 Magforce with a redesigned, slightly larger body (13.0 x 15.5 cm, 265 g) that combines soft grippy cups with the Magforce magnetic bearing. It is the current top of the range at 70 €.
