Safety Information
Diabolo equipment is intended for juggling and performance use. Use requires coordination and skill; beginners should learn under appropriate guidance.
- Hard-cup diabolos: Engineered plastic cups can crack upon impact. Avoid use in temperatures below 5°C (41°F) and on hard, abrasive surfaces (concrete, asphalt).
- Handsticks: Carbon-fiber and fiberglass sticks can splinter if damaged. Inspect regularly and replace if cracks or delamination are visible.
- LED diabolos and light-up accessories: Contain batteries and electronic components. Do not immerse in water. Follow battery safety instructions.
- Fire equipment (if sold): Intended for experienced performers only. Use only in safe, open environments with appropriate fire safety precautions and supervision.
- Small parts (strings, bearings, axle components) may present a choking hazard for young children. Keep away from children under 3 years of age.
Always inspect equipment before each use and discontinue use if damage is detected.

Packaging and Environmental Compliance
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): Germany & France
Verpackungsgesetz (German Packaging Act)
DiaboloFocus participates in a dual system for the collection and recycling of packaging in accordance with the German Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz, VerpackG). Our shipping packaging (boxes, padding materials, tape) is registered with the Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (ZSVR) via the LUCID register, and we have a system participation agreement with a licensed dual-system operator for the recycling of packaging that reaches private end-consumers.
Packaging Disposal
Please dispose of our packaging materials in accordance with local recycling regulations. In Germany:
- Cardboard boxes: Paper recycling (blue bin / Altpapier)
- Paper filling: Paper recycling (blue bin / Altpapier)
- Plastic bags (when used for small accessories): Packaging recycling (yellow bin / Gelber Sack)
- Adhesive tape: Residual waste (Restmüll)
WEEE: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Some of our products contain electronic components (such as LED-illuminated diabolos) and are electrical and electronic equipment within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). For consumers:
- Separate collection: Waste equipment must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste (household waste) but must be collected separately.
- Remove batteries and lamps: Waste batteries and accumulators not enclosed by the waste equipment, and lamps that can be removed from it without being destroyed, must be separated from the equipment without destroying them before it is handed in at a collection point.
- Where to return it: Waste equipment can be handed in free of charge at the collection and return points of the public waste management authorities (e.g. municipal recycling centres).
- Distributors’ take-back obligation: Distributors with a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 m², and food distributors with a total sales area of at least 800 m² that offer electrical and electronic equipment several times a calendar year or permanently, must take back waste equipment free of charge: one old device when a new device of the same type is purchased, and, regardless of any purchase, up to three small devices with no external dimension larger than 25 cm. For distance selling, all storage and shipping areas for electrical and electronic equipment count as sales area. Independently of this, we take back waste equipment from our own range free of charge; please contact us first at info@diabolofocus.com.
- Personal data: As the end user, you are responsible for deleting any personal data on the waste equipment before handing it in.
- Crossed-out wheeled bin symbol: The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the device or its packaging means that the device must be collected separately from household waste at the end of its life.
Batteries
Some of our products contain batteries (e.g., LED diabolos with rechargeable lithium-ion or button cell batteries). Under the German Battery Law Implementation Act (Batterierecht-Durchführungsgesetz, BattDG):
- Obligation to return: As an end user, you are legally required to return waste batteries. Waste batteries do not belong in household waste.
- Free return: You can return waste batteries free of charge at public collection points, in shops, or to us. By post, send them with adequate postage to: DiaboloFocus, Guillaume Karpowicz, Laubacher Str. 53, 14197 Berlin, Germany. Special rules apply to shipping lithium batteries; please contact us first at info@diabolofocus.com.
- Crossed-out wheeled bin symbol: The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the battery or its packaging means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
- Chemical symbols: A chemical symbol below the bin symbol means the battery contains more than the permitted proportion of that substance: Pb = lead (more than 0.004%), Cd = cadmium (more than 0.002%), Hg = mercury (more than 0.0005%).
France Packaging
For shipments to consumers in France, DiaboloFocus participates in the household packaging EPR scheme (filière REP emballages ménagers) operated by LEKO SAS, in accordance with the French AGEC law and Article L.541-10-3 of the Code de l’environnement.

Our shipping packaging carries the Triman pictogram and accompanying sorting instructions (info-tri) as required for products and packaging placed on the French market.
Other Countries
