Accessibility Statement

Scope

This statement applies to the website diabolofocus.com, operated by Guillaume Karpowicz: the shop, the help center, the community pages (diabolists, videos, records), the configurators and the account area. It does not cover the checkout pages, which are hosted by Wix, or media uploaded by community members.

Legal status

DiaboloFocus is a sole proprietorship and a micro-enterprise (fewer than 10 employees, annual turnover below €2 million). Under § 3 BFSG, micro-enterprises that provide services are exempt from the accessibility requirements the BFSG sets for e-commerce services. This statement is therefore voluntary. We publish it because a shop you cannot use is a shop that does not work, and because the requirements are the right target whether or not the law obliges us to meet them.

Conformance status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA: most content and functions meet the criteria, and we are working through the remaining exceptions.

“Partially conformant” is the honest description. Automated tools find only part of what matters, and full conformance is a claim very few websites can defend.

What was tested

The most recent assessment was a self-assessment on 29 August 2026. It covered:

• Automated checks (axe-core) on the home page, category pages, product pages, cart, search, help center, configurator, community pages, contact and legal pages — no violations remain.
• Keyboard-only walkthroughs of the shopping journey: navigation and mega menus, search, category filters and price sliders, product options, quantity, add to cart, the cart drawer and the hand-off to checkout, the product image lightbox, the mobile menu and the cookie notice.
• Structural checks: one heading per page level, heading order, landmarks, the declared language, a skip link on every page, text alternatives for images, visible focus and the reduced-motion preference.

Screen-reader testing (VoiceOver, NVDA) has not yet been carried out systematically; it is planned for the next review.

What is in place

• A skip link, consistent landmarks and heading structure on every page
• Everything operable by keyboard, including the option pickers, filters, the cart drawer and the image lightbox; dialogs keep focus while open and return it on close; menus opened by keyboard close with Escape
• Visible focus indicators, and text contrast of at least 4.5:1
• Pages in English, German, French and Spanish, with the language declared on each page
• Text alternatives for product and community images, and names on every icon button
• Animations reduced when your system asks for reduced motion
• Buttons and form controls at least 44 px tall
• Cookieless usage analytics, so no consent dialog stands between you and the shop

Enforcement

Because of the micro-enterprise exemption described above, no enforcement procedure under the BFSG applies to this website. If you believe the exemption is claimed wrongly, the responsible authority is the Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen (MLBF) in Magdeburg, Germany.
